- An affiliate relationship does not guarantee a positive review or placement.
- Commission size is not treated as evidence that a product is good.
- Where practical, evaluations consider price, limitations, alternatives, licensing and setup burden in addition to strengths.
Sponsored content and free access
If a company pays for coverage, supplies a product, provides extended free access, or gives another material benefit that could influence a reader's interpretation, that relationship should be disclosed on the relevant page. Sponsored placement should not be presented as an independent test.
